Training

Give your team the skills to use the tools well.

New hardware or software only delivers value when people can use it with confidence. Cleartopia offers training shaped around your tools, tasks and experience level, not a generic presentation detached from daily work.

Training that follows the workflow

Training covers UAS hardware, software, data processing and flight workflows. A strong program connects planning, collection, processing, quality review and delivery so participants see how their part of the job affects the outcome.

Built around your team

We offer onsite training in Colorado or at your site, as well as virtual sessions. The right format depends on the equipment, the number of participants and whether the goal is orientation, a deeper workflow or support after deployment.

From a class to a repeatable process

Training can accompany a hardware purchase, a new software workflow or a wider UAS program. The objective is a team that carries out its own work consistently and knows when to call in specialist support.

Common training topics

Most programs draw from the topics below. We combine and pace them to fit your equipment, your projects and your team’s experience, from first-time pilots to crews adding mapping or survey work.

Part 107 certification prep

Study support for the FAA knowledge test: regulations, airspace, weather, aircraft performance and operations, plus the online recurrent training due every 24 months.

Airspace and authorizations

Reading sectional charts, checking for temporary flight restrictions, and requesting LAANC or FAA DroneZone authorizations and waivers before flying in controlled airspace.

Preflight planning and site safety

Site surveys, risk assessments, checklists, crew roles and emergency procedures, so every flight starts with a plan.

Hands-on flight skills

Supervised flying in the field: manual control, automated missions, wind and obstacle awareness, and safe recovery when something goes wrong.

Mapping mission planning

Choosing altitude, ground sample distance, image overlap and flight patterns so the data you collect supports the accuracy the project needs.

Ground control and RTK/PPK

Setting up GNSS base stations, laying out ground control and checkpoints, and using RTK or PPK corrections to reach survey-grade accuracy.

Photogrammetry processing

Turning flight images into point clouds, surface models and orthomosaics in software such as Pix4D, with quality checks at each step.

Volumes and deliverables

Measuring stockpiles and earthwork, comparing surfaces over time, and exporting results your CAD, GIS or engineering team can use.

Fleet care and data management

Battery handling, firmware updates, maintenance logs, and organizing and backing up project data so it is easy to find later.
